Marvellous Medicine!

From free coffee and cake at petrol stations to deals on days out and dining, the world of business has rightly rallied to support and reward NHS staff for their unflinching service during unprecedented times.

Championed as the everyday heroes of the coronavirus crisis, the nation’s healthcare professionals continued to parade wards and attend emergency calls, while the rest of the UK’s population locked down behind the safety of their own front doors.

Which is why at PLS, our way of saying thank you has been to offer NHS workers help in opening the doors to their next homes.

And we are delighted to report that our offer of a 50 percent discount off the legal fees associated with purchasing a property has been warmly received, with nearly 100 uniformed customers taking advantage to date.

While the knowledge that we have saved this special group a significant sum is satisfying, we are equally proud to have lifted some of the stress from their heavily-burdened shoulders.

No matter how seasoned you are with the process, property transactions can be perplexing and the financial, emotional and logistical considerations of moving can take their toll. Throw being on the front line of a global pandemic into the mix and concerns over conveyancing are all the more unwelcome.

Removing some of this worry has arguably been out greatest gift. Our embracing of technology and our secure PLS Portal 24/7 have negated the need for our NHS customers to find time between sleep and shifts to visit a solicitor’s office to sign documents, whilst at the same time reducing the risk of their property transactions from stalling.

Regardless of whether our healthcare heroes have been first-time buyers seeking second homes or downsizing, we’ve also been a reassuring voice at the end of the phone whenever required. Our “bedside manner” may not match that of the brilliant NHS in respect of medical expertise, but we are confident those doctors, nurses, hospital porters and midwives who have called, have found themselves talking to a company that cares.
