Some of our amazing PLS team laced up their boots and took on one of the UK’s toughest walking challenges: the Yorkshire Three Peaks. They did it all to raise money for Zarach, a charity that means a great deal to us, and we couldn’t be prouder of them.
The Challenge
The Yorkshire Three Peaks is one of the UK’s best-known walking challenges. It means climbing Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, the three highest summits in the Yorkshire Dales, all in one day. That’s around 24 miles and more than 5,000ft of climbing over some tough terrain.
Most walkers aim to finish within 12 hours. Our team completed the route in under 11!
Why We Did It
Zarach works to tackle bed poverty, making sure children have a proper bed of their own to sleep in. It’s something many of us take for granted, but a good night’s sleep is the foundation for so much: concentrating at school, feeling well, and simply having the energy to be a kid.
A Huge Well Done
To everyone who took part: what an achievement! The early start, the long hours, the tired legs and the sheer determination to keep going say everything about the people we’re lucky enough to work with. You did PLS proud, and you did it for a brilliant cause.
A big thank you also goes to everyone who has supported the team, whether that was cheering them on, sharing their story, or donating.
Over £3,000 Raised, and Still Counting
Together, we’ve raised over £3,000 for Zarach, and there’s still time to add to it. Every contribution, big or small, makes a real difference to children who need it.
Thank you for helping a child get a better night’s sleep.
