The Recruitment Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Recruitment Manager to ensure the company meets its growth strategy through proactive recruitment practices and successful on-boarding of new employees.

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Assist the Recruitment Manager in sourcing direct candidates from various sources such as social media, job sites, Linked In searches, internal adverts, job fairs etc
  • Log all vacancies on the recruitment tracker and keep this updated with costs
  • Log all interviews and offers on the recruitment trackers and ensure all trackers are kept up to date
  • Send out employment offers and contracts to successful candidates
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed, signed, returned and saved to new employees folders
  • Conduct all new starter checks such as reference checks, right to work checks, checking social media, checking the SRA/CLC/Cilex database for qualified staff, DBS checks and bankruptcy checks
  • Ensure new starter forms are completed and sent to IT and that all new staff have been set up correctly prior to their first day
  • Liaise with Hiring Managers to ensure new starters have a buddy in place and a relevant on team training plan
  • Liaise with Training to ensure they have been set up on the training portal and they have a relevant training induction in place
  • Liaise with Facilities to ensure new starters have a clean and tidy desk area, working PC and all stationery ready for their first day
  • Ensure all new starters are set up on Breathe HR and that they have been enrolled onto all benefits such as Death In Service, Enjoy Benefits etc
  • Cover for the Recruitment Manager in their absence.

Essential Skills:

  • Previous volume recruitment experience is desirable
  • First class attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Stakeholder management skills
