PLS Solicitors are a conveyancing law firm dealing with the legal aspect of buying and selling property in England and Wales. The main role of the Business Administrator is to support the Post Completions Team with all elements of the post completions administration function. They will also provide support to the Post Room and Reception as and when required.

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

Post Completions deal with the very end of the legal process and are responsible for making sure that all the paperwork is in place to allow the property to be registered to its new owner.

Main duties will include:-

·         Adding files to the Issue report/breach log

·         Checking the progress of cases and lenders security when reviewing the Lender report.

·         Matching documents together and creating files

·         Pre-prepping files (Checking documents and scanning them to file)

·         Updating Lenders

·         Checking title deeds and posting documents out

·         Filing and finding files

·         Rectifying minor amendments on title deeds

·         Amending documents to enable support to reply to requisition

·         Monitoring the admin inbox

·         Submitting OS1/OS2/UN1 applications

·         Updates 

  • Responding to client requests
  • Making expedite requests 
  • Updating portals 
  • Answering phone calls

·         Any other duties required to assist your team and other teams should the need arise

Reception Cover

  • Provide reception cover as and when required.
  • Meet and greet clients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answering calls on a busy switch board and directing callers to the right person efficiently 
  • Keeping reception and the meeting rooms tidy 
  • Book meeting rooms and arranging refreshments as and when required

Post Room Cover

  • Provide cover in the post room as and when required.
  • Dealing efficiently with incoming and outgoing post
  • Scanning and distribution of all incoming mail 

Essential Skills :

  • Some administration experience is desirable but full training will be given
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good telephone manner
  • Able to use Microsoft (Word, Email & Excel etc)
  • Highly organised
  • Willingness to learn new skills
