PLS are encouraging people who have been identified as victims of phone hacking to come forward for an initial free consultation to discover whether we can help. It has been revealed by the police that more than 1000 people have been identified as likely victims of hacking. Deputy Assistant Commissioner, Sue Akers, told the Home Affairs Select Committee that Scotland Yard had identified 4,744 potential or likely victims. It is understood that all those who are contactable have now been informed by the police and the operation is being wound down. So far eight people have been charged with conspiracy to hack phones while the CPS are examining a number of other files. PLS have already developed a niche in the area of cases against the Press and are currently working on a number of active cases.
